Page Layouts
Adding a custom page to your Stage 3 website is relatively simple. In the admin section, you go to the "Custom Pages" section and click "Add a new custom page". You name the page and then start typing!
You are given a whole palette of tools to use, very similar to those in Microsoft Word or Excel.
These allow you to display the information on the page in the format you want. The tools allow you to: - Stylise your text - you can use bold, italics, undeline, change the colour, sub- and super-script it and more.
- Insert photographs - you load images into your image library first, then you insert them wherever you want.
- Insert documents and other downloads - add links to documents in your document library such as new patient forms for anyone to view or download or create links to movies that can be viewed or downloaded. [NB: Examples of movies to download are shown on the Training Movies page; examples of documents to download are shown on the Downloads page]
- Add links to web pages - to pages in your own website or to any other website.
- Add links to email addresses - Your own or other peoples.
- Create lists - You can create bullet point or numbered lists and nest lists within other lists.
- Create tables - that provide a grid of rows and columns that help you organise and format data so it can be easily read. [NB: Examples of tables can be found in this site on the following pages: Advantages, Inclusions, Search Engines, Training Movies and Ongoing Development]
- And more...
Once you have added all the information and images to the new custom page, you save it and then go to the "Page Control" section of the Admin area. This allows you to select where you want the page to appear, either as a standalone page with its own button on the menu, or as the top level menu item or a submenu item. The Training Movies explain this process fully and the base set-up of the website allows you to see how the templated pages are controlled which further simplifies the process.
